Our application and admission process is easy! We have outlined the 5 main steps to take you from application to orientation. To find out more details, just click on one of the boxes.

The process is a little different if you’re an international student, military/veteran student, or a former York University student who is wanting to return.

Transfer Credits

Undergraduate (<28 credit hours)
Students with 27 credit hours or less must submit:
  • High School Transcripts
  • Minimum class rank of 50 percent
  • ACT score (or SAT equivalent) of 18+
  • Official College Transcript(s)
  • Minimum of 1.6 GPA
Undergraduate (28-59 credit hours)
Students with 28-59 credit hours must submit:
  • High School Transcripts
  • Proof of Graduation
  • Official College Transcripts
  • Minimum of 1.8 GPA
Undergraduate (60+ credit hours)
Students with 60+ credit hours must submit:
  • High School Transcripts
  • Proof of Graduation
  • Official College Transcripts
  • Minimum of 2.0 GPA
Graduate
For all graduate student transfers:

York University will transfer up to six hours of graduate level credit in the Master Programs, as long as there is course subject alignment of prior courses and the courses offered in the Master’s programs. Discuss the possibility of transfer credit with the Director of Online Admissions.

Exceptions
The following apply in special cases:
  • GED completers may need to take the ACT or SAT to be considered for acceptance (Passing GED equals 2.0 GPA)
  • A non-traditional student will be required to submit his/her most recent transcript(s)
