Youth Minister

We’re looking for a passionate Youth Minister to guide our 7th–12th graders as they take their next steps toward Jesus. This full-time role goes beyond leading a youth group—it’s about building a ministry that connects deeply with the mission of our growing church. You’ll foster spiritual growth, forge meaningful relationships and equip teens to live out their faith into college and beyond.
Woodbury is located in the vibrant and fast-growing Twin Cities metro and offers the best of city life, suburban convenience, and endless outdoor activities. Our church is growing with our community, helping people of all ages take their next steps closer to Jesus. We’re looking for a leader who loves Jesus, collaborates well, and sees youth ministry as vital to the whole church.

Position Overview

As our Youth Minister, you’ll lead a ministry aimed at helping Middle and High School students take their next step closer to Jesus. You’ll plan and oversee all aspects of youth ministry while collaborating with parents, volunteers, staff, and elders to create a strong, interconnected community that reflects the mission of our growing church.
This role is about more than just programming—it’s discipleship, leadership, and being a fully integrated part of our church staff. We see youth ministry as part of a larger journey that integrates seamlessly with the work of the whole church to help students and their families discover the life-changing power of Jesus.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team passionate about seeing the church and the community flourish.

What We’re Looking For

  • A visionary leader who loves youth ministry and the church and values the connection between the two.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a ministry staff environment.
  • Someone with strong communication skills who can engage teens, parents, and the church family.

  • Support camp participation and take teens to Christian college events or national youth gatherings.

5. Parental and Volunteer Engagement

  • Build a team of parents and volunteers to support youth ministry activities.
  • Maintain open, thorough communication with parents about plans and goals.

6. Administrative Leadership

  • Develop and manage the youth ministry budget.
  • Recruit and supervise youth ministry interns.
  • Track and report progress through measurable goals and metrics.

7. Broader Church Involvement

  • Participate fully in church planning, staff meetings, and community events.
