York University Online Graduate Assistant

Being a Graduate Assistant (GA) is a special privilege for qualified students to obtain work experience that supports the mission of York University while also being actively enrolled in one of our master’s degree programs. Each GA is expected to be a strong representation of YU’s mission and values and follow the standards of conduct for both students and employees.

QualificationsAgree to serve for two full academic years and complete a master’s program during the same two academic years. To do so, GAs must maintain continuous enrollment progressing toward successful completion. Meet the admissions criteria for graduate school and maintain good academic standing. (For former YU students) have been free of probation status with the Office of Student Development during their last two years as a student. Be in good financial standing with the YU Business Office (Student Accounts). Work the requisite hours of the position consistent with that of a part-time employee. Reside on campus or submit an exception request through the future supervisor.
