The York University Online Spring A 2025 session begins on 1/6/25! Apply here by 1/1/25.

History

Founded in 1890, York University is located in the heart of York, Nebraska, a city in the southeastern part of the state and about 50 miles west of the capital Lincoln. York University Online launched in 2010 to expand the reach of the school, concentrating initially on undergraduate programming. In 2012 the college was commissioned to provide online graduate-level studies. The school has served students, both traditional and online, from across the United States and several countries. York College transitioned to York University in the summer of 2022.

From the founding and continuing today, the focus of transforming lives through Christ-centered education has remained our top priority. We are an intentionally small college, with an average of 450 students on our residential campus and about 200 degree-seeking online students. We aim to inspire students to grow intellectually as well as spiritually through a caring and Christ-loving community of supportive peers, passionate educators, and engaged alumni. With a Christian foundation, God-honoring vision, Midwestern values and connection to the community, we endeavor to provide a grounding for students as they grow in mind, body, and spirit.

Masters of Arts in Organizational & Global Leadership

“I had an amazing experience studying at York University.”
Yong Guang Teh

“The Masters in Organizational Leadership better prepared me in my roles as a clinician as well as a healthcare administrator. I value the lessons and thought-provoking discussions on wide-ranging topics that include personal self-care, evidence based evaluation practices, coping with change and many others. The modules are deeply rooted in real-world application of organizational concepts- this makes the lessons very relevant as well as engaging. Also, the program has been thoughtfully put together in a way that encouraged me to explore critical theoretical concepts on my own. I highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to deepen their understanding of contemporary organizational and leadership practices.”

—Yong Guang Teh
